Original South Carolina Confederate Palmetto Armory Pistol

For sale is this really wonderful and completely original,authentic, South Carolina Confederate Palmetto Armory pistol as produced in 1852-1853 in Columbia ,SC. There were only 1000 pistols produced and almost all were heavily used in the War Between the States. These pistols were exact copies of the US Model 1842 single shot pistol and in fact were produced with condemned and surplus parts as bought from Waters, Aston, and Johnson . This pistol retains a wonderful original patina with no breaks in the wood and 90% original varnish. The metal is clean and retains excellent strikes on the lockplate and on the barrel. It will be hard to upgrade from here. Really in the upper percentile of well preserved pistols.
